“Covert intelligence involves a lot of waiting around. Know what it’s like being a spy? Like sitting in your dentist’s reception area twenty-four hours a day. You read magazines, sip coffee, and every so often, someone tries to kill you.” Michael Weston said.

This series is really great, if you have never watched it, you can catch it on Netflix. We have a spy, his girlfriend and an old friend from the FBI.

There are a lot of call backs to other shows. It began on USA Network almost when the show Monk Ended and Pysche was almost done as well. Its fun and has a definate beginning and end. You can be satisfied with what comes throughout the series.

Here is the basics of the plot…Michael Westen is steamed — or, more precisely, burned. His career as a spy ends when he gets a “burn notice,” the covert equivalent of a pink slip. Stuck in his hometown of Miami, he intends to find out who did this to him and why, although that’s not easy to do: With the burn notice attached to his name, he is cut off from his usual contacts and has to fly under the radar of the intelligence network lest he tip off his secret enemy. So it’s a good thing he can rely on help from Fiona, his ex-girlfriend and IRA spy, and his friend Sam, also a former spy. Then there’s Madeline, Michael’s mother, a hypochondriac but probably not a spy.

It stars Jeffrey Donavan, Gabrielle Anwar, Bruce Campbell, and Sharon Gless. Bruce Campbell is great for this show and so is Sharon Gless considering she used to be on Cagney and Lacey.

You can find the soundtrack on Amazon.

Also its on ITunes.

Here are a couple clips from the show…
