DrWho-50thAnniversary-V3

“We’re all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?”

What Doctor Who fan doesn’t enjoy good Whovian music? I’ve enjoyed what Murry Gold has done throughout the last decade with the Doctor Who TV Series. Murry Gold can capture the presence of a Dalek, the terror of the Weeping Angels, the mystery of the Silence, or even the villiany of The Master. These are just a few examples of how Murry Gold uses various elements of the orchestra to make us feel, not just watch Doctor Who.

I never thought I could have become a Doctor Who fan, but when it was rebooted back in 2005, I became one and then I was hooked. I haven’t missed a single episode of Doctor Who since. I love the references on Twitter, Pintrest, or even Tumblr. The various iterations of memorabilia that has come from the series astounds me. There are audio dramas of Doctor Who episodes that never were aired on the BBC, however, it is all canon. All of these radio programs, audio books, audio dramas and TV specials are ways into the Doctor Who Universe.

Recently, well within the last two weeks, there was a British Fest in Council Bluffs, where many Doctor Who fans came together along with other fans of British TV or stage. Apparently it was really quite a fantastic event. I do hope I get to go to one next year.

This isn’t why I’m writing this post. I treasure the Doctor Who music, its more enjoyable with the show, but can still be enjoyed just by listening to it. I hope I can share my wonder and amazement at the TV series. I am here to give you a few examples.

Here is the Amazon Link to the 50th Anniversary soundtrack.

Here is the ITunes link for that same soundtrack.

Of course there are the individual soundtracks that are just fantastic. If you are a fan of Doctor Who, you really should check it out.

I’ll give you a few clips for your enjoyment.
